JOB TITLE: Beyond Vision Skills Trainer
LOCATION: CPWD’s North Metro Office in Thornton (and local travel)
FLSA/EMPLOYEE STATUS: Full-Time (37.5 hrs./wk.); Non-exempt
PAY & BENEFITS: $17-18/hr.; medical, vision, dental, life and accident insurance; Employee Assistance Program (EAP), 12 paid holidays, vacation time, sick time & personal days.

SUMMARY:  Implements the Beyond Vision program for people who are visually impaired or blind by facilitating low-vision support groups, providing one-on-one skills training, and meeting outreach goals.  The individual in this position will serve as a role model and mentor for people with disabilities within the community, and maintain positive and effective relationships with CPWD staff and partner agencies.  Primarily provides Beyond Vision services to the Denver Metro region but may also need to serve the Boulder County region, as needed.
