JOB TITLE: Director of Core Services
FLSA/JOB STATUS: Full-Time; Exempt
LOCATION(S): All CPWD Offices (Boulder, Thornton, Longmont); Adjustments made for COVID
PAY & BENEFITS: $65-70k/yr.; medical, vision, dental, life and accident insurance; Employee Assistance Program (EAP), 12 paid holidays, vacation time, sick time & personal days.

- Director-level demonstrated skills and experience, including strong communication and delegation skills, plus effective and inspirational leadership.
- 3+ years of staff and program management experience.
- An extensive background working within the disability community; possesses a comprehensive understanding of programs/services for people with disabilities, grant funding, and budgets.
SUMMARY:
As a Center for Independent Living (CIL), CPWD is mandated to provide 5 Core Services: Independent Living (IL) Skills Training, Peer Support, Individual and Systems Advocacy, Information and Referral, and Youth and Nursing Home Transitions. These Core Services are delivered through a series of programs referred to as Independent Living programs.
The Director of Core Services (DCS) is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of IL programs. The DCS works closely with the Executive Director to develop overall program vision, and ensure the development of quality programs and staff. DCS oversees day-to-day operations of grant-funded IL programs through daily interaction with staff, managing consumer concerns, and developing and executing programmatic implementation to ensure IL philosophy and services are carried out. DCS ensures IL programs meet all state, federal, and local compliance standards; all Statements of Work and program goals as outlined in grants; and captures data necessary for accurate grant reporting. DCS also ensures that the philosophy, mission, goals and core values of CPWD are maintained throughout all IL programs.
DCS serves as a role model and mentor for people with disabilities and staff; maintains positive and effective relationships with fellow members of the Executive Team, CPWD staff, and partner agencies by providing information and representation for CPWD. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures/practices, regulatory authority/certification standards and laws, including supervising assigned staff and conducting performance reviews.
