Business Description
The mission of the “I Have A Dream” Foundation of Boulder County is to empower children from under-resourced communities to succeed in school, college, and career by providing academic, social, and emotional support from elementary school through college, along with a post-secondary tuition assistance scholarship.
Through a unique, long-term achievement program, IHDF’s overall goal is to ensure each of the youth we serve (whom we call “Dreamer Scholars”) have the academic and social-emotional resources they need to succeed. In its history, IHDF has launched 22 Dreamer Scholar Cohorts serving 50-60 kids in each cohort to reach more than 1,100 students and 4,000 of their family members. 11 cohorts have already graduated from high school and continue to be supported by the College & Career Department. The 11 current Dreamer Scholar Classes each operate in learning centers at either the student’s school or affordable housing site in Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, or Frederick.
The “I Have A Dream” Foundation of Boulder County (IHDF) embraces a work environment that is accessible, inclusive, diverse, and equitable. IHDF will not discriminate in its hiring or other activities, on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, religion, age, handicap, political affiliation, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, parental or military status.
