Please read more about our commitment and HFHSVV as an equal opportunity employer on our website: www.stvrainhabitat.org/employment-opportunities Position Summary The ReStore Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sales floor activities and creating a smooth retail experience for customers to enjoy. This position will involve working with employees as well as volunteers to ensure that the store remains clean, safe, and well organized. The ReStore works a bit differently when compared to other retail stores, and this position is meant to educate customers on how our store functions and help them with their shopping experience if they desire assistance. A river of products flows through the ReStore. This position is meant to ensure that it continues to flow and that our process operates as smoothly as possible.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Relations o Greeting customers whenever possible and being available to help aid with the purchasing process. o Maintaining a professional and friendly attitude even in the face of adversity. o Being a source of information for topics involving the ReStore as well as HFH as a whole. Sales Floor Management o Fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for staff and customers alike. o Providing exceptional customer service while promoting Habitat’s mission. o Coordinating the loading of customer purchases safely and within associates’ capacities. o Complying with cash handling procedures and providing guidance and support to cashiers to do the same

 

Daily Store Operations o Opening or closing the store as needed, complying with safety and security procedures. o Performing end-of-day cash handling procedures, including counting tills and finalizing deposits. o Contributing to shared cleaning duties and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. o Taking on new tasks and responsibilities as they arise. Volunteer Coordination o Onboarding new volunteers, providing them with a tour of the store and a brief explanation of our mission. o Working closely with individuals and groups to find the most suitable tasks for each volunteer/s. o Checking in with volunteers to make sure they are well-supported and have access to resources they need to complete their tasks safely and efficiently.

Qualifications - Previous supervisory experience required. Sales floor or thrift management preferred. - Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with safe lifting/handling procedures. Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly, 50 lbs. occasionally. - Proven team leadership and organizational skills. - Outgoing personality and comfortability in social and sales situations - Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
