Compensation: $60,000-$70,000, Exempt, Full-time

Schedule: 9/80 schedule, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Our Mission:

El Comité de Longmont is a social justice and human and legal services organization established to meet the needs of the Latino and immigrant communities in Longmont and Boulder County. As the only fully bilingual and bicultural social service provider in the county, and one of the few Latino-founded, -run and -serving organizations in the county, our services are vital for the over 3,000 people we serve annually, 99% of whom are Latino. Our programs expand social connections and build concrete supports around our participants, and as a result, enhance resilience, economic stability, for Latinos and immigrants in the community. Our core services include walk-in services, legal access and support, adult education classes, and community engagement.

Position Summary:

The El Comité Development Manager will lead and implement fundraising in a growing organization. This new position has been created to work in partnership with the Executive Director (ED): to support fundraising efforts and donor management. The ED sets the tone and character of fundraising, however, El Comité needs to expand capacity and is looking for a creative fundraiser to collaborate with the ED and support revenue generation for the organization.

The Development Manager will work with the ED to secure financial resources, build donor relationships, manage events, and increase awareness about the work of El Comité, and collaborate with the ED to help achieve annual fundraising goals and support the overall mission.

Current fundraising activities include two annual email campaigns (summer and year-end), one-on-one cultivation of major donors, 2-3 events, 6-12 house parties (hosted by community members) per year, community education and networking, and regular email communications.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with many facets of fundraising work including developing fundraising strategy, event planning, soliciting gifts, donor cultivation and stewardship, major gifts, database management, reporting and data analysis.

Essential Functions:

· Strategy & Planning: Work with Executive Director to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to support our fundraising goals, including major gifts, annual campaigns, and events. Lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, corporate partners, and plan events. This position will involve interaction with the board of directors. · Donor Relations: The Development Manager will identify and manage a portfolio of key donors, working to steward and build relationships with individual donors. This includes generating receipts and thank you notes for donors, and regularly identifying donors for the ED to contact.

· Events Management: Help plan, organize, and manage fundraising events.

· Marketing & Communications: While the Executive Director takes the lead on content for newsletters and digital campaigns, the Development Manager will be in a supporting role for these responsibilities.

· Database Management: Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM system and track fundraising progress.

· Team Collaboration: Work across programs and ensure cross-program cooperation and communications with staff working in other capacities; Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary; Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Required Qualifications:

· Proven experience (3-5+ years) in fundraising, development, event planning, or a related role.

· Great interpersonal skills and excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

· Bilingual in Spanish and English verbal and written, is strongly preferred.

· Proficiency with donor management software (Bloomerang and MailChimp).

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· A demonstrated commitment to immigrant justice, and /or historically underrepresented communities.

· Be community-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.

· High level of attention to detail, highly organized and self-driven.

· Driver’s license and insurance.
